Here are the results from the Laguna race. I will update a full scale journal when I return since there is so much going on each day to discuss!

For now, let’s say Brooklyn was well represented in this part of the world.

I finished the 1.8k swim, 55k bike, and 12 k run in 3 hrs and 10 minutes.

I placed 31st overall out of 620 racers and almost 20 of the top professionals in the world.

Over 30 countries were represented.

I finished 6th out of 76 in my age group.

My run split was the 6th fastest overall.

I beat 20 out of 21 realy teams.

I was the 4th American overall to finish (1 female pro and 2 male ahead of me).

My time earned me a guarranteed entry into the Ironman Japan in Nagasaki on May 22, 2005!

My TEAMMC mate Brian, in his first triathlon, placed 441st overall despite having a flat tire in the early portions of the bike.

A BIG BIG thank you to race primary race sponsor Sheila Long with additional support from Gina Paoloni, Brian Casatelli and his Mom Mary. Sheila gets the finishers’ medal, race t-shirt, mesh hat, and TEAMMC cycling jersey.

To be continued..
